...to say goodbye!
Well as I'd hoped, the first person to come around and see the Cerb...has bought it, and the new owner will be picking it up next weekend. All seems a bit strange after 4 fun years.
The next step will be to source a runaround, sell the family Beemer, and then start the hunt for a Monaro! Unless a suitable deal is done on the plate I'll be keeping it, so 'Rocket' should go on the Monaro.
Thanks to everyone for all the help/advice/tips I've picked up on this forum over the last couple of years. I can't give up TVRing completely, so I'll still be monitoring these pages daily, I'm staying in the TVRCC, and we'll still be attending the mid-Essex meetings as often as we can. Pauline, if/when we get the Monaro, can we have a spot at the top of the drive please?!?!
Ciao for now,
Neil

Hey Neil I'm sorry you're leaving the fold for now. To be honest I never liked you anyway and as you're such a wussy driver your Cerb will be in much better hands now.
Hehehe.
Seriously please keep in touch and good luck with the Monaro. I did the same as you a couple of years back and then ended up buying another Griff and a Cerb. I have a feeling you'll buy again

Congratulations on selling the Cerb without grief.
We sold ours to the first person who saw her, but in the delay of being able to meet up and transfer it, the guy changed his mind after a few rows with his missus.
(She probably wanted a blue one
) I will be most interested to see the Monaro as Ray wants me to have one as my next company car.
Are you getting the 5.7 or the later 6 ltr....and have you seen the yellow one......Mmmmmmmm!!!!!!
I'll stick it at the top of the drive, in return for a good blat in it!!!!!
See you soon.....

Hi folks,
Yes, I'll definitely be back in the fold one day. I've always loved TVRs and they're not out my system yet. It may be when the factory finally decide to launch their next generation of 4 seaters....or it may be when the kids are older and the Griff 4.3BV is the classic it's destined to be....or when I come across my old 400SE....mmmmm....
Anyway we'll be at the Foresters in April, so Russ, hopefully see you and Sarah there!
Pauline, the Monaro will more than likely be the 5.7. Don't think I can quite stretch to a brand new 6.0 VXR. On the other hand, we could wait a year and pick up a second hand one. We'll just have to see how things pan out. Whenever it happens, we'll bring it along to the meeting and I'll be more than happy to take you for a blast. It's gonna be somewhat quieter than the Cerb though! The kids are already moaning "it's too quiet!"..."it's boring!"..."we wanna keep the TVR!"...could be a few tears shed next weekend!
Cheers, and c u all soon,
Neil
