Steering rack ratio
Discussion
Any idea what the actual rack ratio is for a Cerb?
On the hunt for a new motor (as a stop gap until I find another Cerb I want
), but one of the hang ups for me is the steering ratio has to be relatively quick. E92 M3 seems pretty quick with a 12.5:1 .
I know the Cerb is <2 turns from lock to lock, but thats more to do with limitation of wheel rotation. I can't seem to find an actual ratio figure anywhere.

And therein lies the problem. I like a fast rack (!) but without a quoted ratio its hard to compare what would come close.
A slow steering in a 'sports' car would be a big deal breaker for me. In fact, even in a daily drive I hate a slow rack. I just about lived with the slowness of the e60 5 series rack (iirc, its over 15:1), but given it was a family car it wasn't a big deal, just an annoyance. The S2000 was good, but I can't believe the quoted figures I am seeing of 14.7:1 - seems quite slow to me? yet it felt perfect).
