Where can i buy this fuel hose???
Discussion
Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone recognises this fuel hose on my Cerb?
The R9 fuel hose was put on by me last September, not impressed
But the "3A FUEL 5.6 9613-95" hose i can't source anywhere, it's been on there at least since i bought the car in early 2013 and has stood up very well. I've tried googling it but nothing comes up?
Does anyone have it on their car? Or know where i could get some from?
Many thanks.

Sorry but l can't help you with sourcing the better fuel hose but there are clearly differences in appearance between the 2 pipes.!!

This hose is smooth finish on the surface of the pipe.

Has like a dimpled effect like a golf ball, which l presume is something to do with the manufacturing process, and the rubber is compressed in such a way that it does not crack?

I wouldn't bother with that sleeve as the first you are likely to know about a degraded fuel line is in a ball of fire..
There is lots of poor quality hose around these days and even experienced garages are getting caught out. Having said that I would be speaking to my nearest respected TVR garage as thy will lots more experience of what is good or not.

I'm getting fed up changing the fuel hoses on mine.
Well timed thread, thanks
I got the Cerb out of winter storage far to late as usual on Sat, just before leaving to have a long trip to Oulton Park but moving it far enough to wash it I found a very strong smell of petrol, again. The pipe on the cooler was leaking, it had R6 that I was dubious about that I'd been supplied with by TVR parts people just a few years ago.
I was going to put some R9 on that looks just like yours, but the last time I changed it (a good few years ago before the last lot of R6) it cracked very quickly just like yours.
I do use heat shielding near the exhausts but at the front it shouldn't be to hot & from memory it was cracking there on the out side just like yours.
My R6 cracked from the inside out, so all that is coming off again now.
Any one know what thread the front of the boring steel fuel rail is on the 4.5? I need a new fitting for that, I found the one the TVR parts specialist sent me last time was far too small for 7.6 pipes, I wondered at the time why there was an adapter in the pipe...

That looks like good stuff Paul - out of interest how much did you need for your fuel and battery cables - tempted to do mine too

I bought 5m for £33, I still have a little left if you need some in an emergency.
I would have no hesitation using the Gates Barricade hose, I entrust my other car to Gates for the timing belt. Fortunately you appear to be able to buy somewhat less than a 25ft roll from some vendors.
The 27340 part number just happens to be a big roll , there are other sizes available. A reminder that there is more than a few feet required to change the flexible hoses, two at the front ( maybe 4 feet required) , rear fuel return, circa 4 feet, and section before and after fuel filter, another 4 feet, so each car needs at least 12 feet of hose.
