Boot catch servo mounting details
Discussion
Hi all,
My car had a body modification prior to my ownership which changed the backlit style number plate to the later recessed type. As part of the modification the boot catch servo mounting points were lost and need to be re-provided.
It's a bit of long shot, but does anyone have any details or photos of the installation? I'm guessing that photos might be a non-starter due to location, but thought I would ask on the off-chance.
I'm certain it can be made to work, but would like to get it as close to factory as possible.
Thanks
Mark

Had to take mine apart to fix a non functioning lock. The boot motor is on the left of the number plate recess as you look a the rear. There's a metal wire connecting (or not in my case) the latch to the end of the crank. I think the motor was located inside a void in the GRP to protect it but can't be 100% certain. It's all accessible once the carpets been pulled back.
Found it!
It's held in on mine with two screws just going through the fibreglass. Pull back the carpet from the top of the boot, left side towards the nearside light cluster. There's a void about level with the middle of the light cluster 4-6 inches across from it. The solonoid is mounted in here, two screws about 1/4 inch from the edge of the fibre glass. - sorry couldnt get a decent photo without pulling all the carpet off.
