Right sold my 911 today so time to start the hunt.Budget up to 30k what should look for ? I,m thinking 2000 car 4.5 with spiders upto 20k miles full history ,am I being to optimistic?. I will need some finance so am I best going thro a dealer. Can I buy privately and get an after market warranty?. Any ideas or any good acrs for sale would be appreciated.

questions for you:-
What advantage do you feel you get from a dealer?
- ditto - warranty?
Why limit yourself to 20K miles? That is less than 5K a year potentially.
Buy on condition.
Clearly big miles in a cerb means the engines end is closer but low miles aint good either.
Personally I would concentrate on cars that had done about 6 - 8K or more pa.
If you are spending 30K then are you reserving 3k pa for repairs and servicing?
DOnt forget to keep a grand to one side for Nitrons!

Bought my Nov. 99 4.2 with 20k and full service history for £22k 2 years ago, so I'd bl**dy hope you could get the spec you want for £30k! I'd not limit myself to the 4.5 unless you've driven both the 4.2 and the 4.5 and prefer one over the other. Bragging rights are pretty much irrelevant once you've got one!

No. Technically, you're best getting a 0% credit card and funding it through that, doing balance transfers as and when necessary. Sainsburys offers one of the best for that at the mo (if I remember rightly) - 12 months interest free credit.
Alternatively, getting a private loan will generally work out much better than dealer finance, too.

Yes. But it probably won't pay out on much!
