oil pressure ( new question )

I've recently just had the pump reconditioned put the engine back in at the weekend the oil went straight to 100 psi Plus and blow out the oil filter I pull the pressure relief spring and the plunger can't find anything wrong
So my question is what would happen if the plunger was put in the wrong way around and does anyone know which way around it's a poster to go in

Thank you but after talking to somebody on another thread looks like it was definitely put in the wrong way around
