Idle speed high and over fueling

Hi Guys
Wondering if anyone of you experts can help me please!
Looked at every other thread to find the same problem but nothing found to help me.
1998 4.5 is ticking over at 1600-1800rpm with the left bank over fueling/too rich.
I've plugged into the ECU and found that the set-up all looks correct and no fault codes are showing but the adaptive values for the left bank are -18% and when messured on Gas/emissions tester it shows as rich with the hydro carbons very high.
Just replaced the throttle pot and lambda sensor but no different. Serviced only 60 miles ago so plugs are good.
Has anyone got any ideas of what would cause this, I've check and looked and studied and everything but this one is now very puzzleing!!
