Indicators, please help

Hi all,

The left in indicator has stopped working. The right indicator and the hazard indicator are working fine.

If I turn on the right indicator, I'm able to cancel it again if I push the indicator arm up (as if was turning the left indicator on). This indicate that the microswitch is working.

Can anybody spot what/where the fault could be?

Please help if you can.

Have you examined the bulbs?

When activating left turn from the stalk, do any of the lefthand bulbs flash? Can you hear the 'beeper' in the dash pod making a noise?

I can hear the beeper when I activate the right indicator and the hazard indicator, but not when the left indicator is activated.

I have not seen the left bulbs fladh.

The bulbs are woring when the hazard light is activated.

If they are old switches, then it could be a problem with the switch mechanism

The car is from 96 and I think it is the original switchs still there, however as I can cancel a right turn with a left I would think that indicates that both the switches are working.

Just had this on mine, try the electrical wire / ribbon going into the control box above the steering colum, I had disturb mine whilst changing the water gauge.
