Dashboard vents

Hi All

Does anyone have any tips on how to remove and re-fit the dashboard vents (underneath the screen) on the Cerbera?

I have a new one to replace the broken one in situ, but I can't for the life of me work out how to compress the retaining spring wire in a way that will enable me to remove the vent!
