It Must Be A Dream
Discussion
I Finally realised my dream today as I drove a Cerbera for the very first time. Not long only an 8 year wait but God were those 4 miles worth it. It was a 4.5LW with one bank running rich and a slight cooling problem with wisps of steam coming from the passenger side where the bonnet meets the windscreen (after only a couple of miles)To be fair the car had been warmed up previously and the wisps were only intermittant. I've read so many detrimental things about them over the last 6 months but that all soon went out the window when I sat in the driving seat and pressed that little black button. Isn't the accelerator close to the brake, hardly enough room to accomodate my size 9 Kickers but the sweetest things I will always remember about today are:
1. How quick the rev counter rises at the slightest press of the throttle (and how quick it drops back to idle when blipped)
2. That smell of Super Unleaded when it doesn't fire first time.
3. The look of all those purple hoses under the bonnet.
4. Pressing that button under the mirror and watching the window drop and the door flick itself open, very neat.
5.All those foreigners meandering around Stratford.
6.Seeing 2 Sagaris (God knows what the plural is)at David Gerald in Inkberrow, Worcester 1 blue 1 red.
Is it time to wake up yet?
