Immobiliser Problems.................

Put the plastic key in and the red light carrys on flashing, any ideas ???

I never bothered with the red plasticy thing. Just pressed the key fob (with go button already pressed - I think), then fuel pump etc into life, start her up and away....

Thats what I normaly do but it wont disable.

The symptoms are, if i use either the key or the fob the light pauses for a moment and then continues to flash, wipers, lights etc continue to function normaly but no power to the starter and no MIL beep ! I have disconected the battery for 5 minutes but that has not helped. Edited to say fuel pump does not prime either.

Please Help, its due in for a service next Saturday and at this rate it will be on the back of a low loader.

Is the alarm arming and setting as per norm?..ie indicators flash 3 times and rear window led flashes...

Have you reset the crash switch? Other than that I dont have a clue. Have you tried the experts?

I have had lots of problems with my own Cerbera but not quite like this though. Have you spoken to your local TVRCC Regional Organiser? They have helped me in the past with my own problems as they have access to a wealth of knowledge and can in most cases offer some helpful tips.

My recommendation would be Karl Baker. Lovely bloke and knows his stuff. I had a dead alarm plipper and decided the best option would be to replace both, before the second one died too. His contact details are on www.tvruk.tv

Seconded - Used him last week for a replacement immobiliser. Out of all the alarm specialists I tried he was the only one who could do this, thus saving me a fortune compared to the next best advise of ripping it all out and replacing the entire system.
Top bloke, very helpful and really knows his stuff when it comes to TVR alarms etc.

Its been low loaded upto Peninsular think they know of Carl. Same that AB warranty has run out now !!
