As part of my thought process re a new cerb I have got only one quote for ins so far.
Tesco quoted £680 full comp, protected etc....
(based on no accidents, max no claims, garaged, <4K pa, 4.5, ruralish surrey, old bloke (38) etc...).
Not sure I can be bothered to shop around at that price EXCEPT I might want a 3rd car and so might need a policy that covers 2 cars.
Any recommendations re 2 car cover (I wont use a certain popular broker after they stitched me last time).

I went with Tesco. £720 protected, full NCB, no points, Surrey, 32.

I also have a first car, and want to insure it, but it now costs more than the Cerb TPFT!! As I used the NCB from that for the Cerb. I thought it was the person who had NCB not the car.
Its just a Frontera too, albeit 3.2v6, but so what. I can only drive one at a time.

Also got the bike, and trying to sell it, its on the classifieds here, got full NCB on that too, but they wont let me take that to a car!?!

Its all quite annoying.

Try ClassicLine (advertise in Sprint) They do not work on a no-claims bonus basis, as is the case with a number of classic & specialist policies. I have just been quoted £560 on a 3k per year policy for a 4.2, with my Griff coming in at £342 on the same basis.

Dear Gazzab, hold your horses for a day or 2 if you can. I am 37, no accidents etc, 98 4.5, 3rd car, unlimited mileage, unlimited track days, protected no claims, missus on policy, $580 (that should be a pound sign but am in States and wrong keyboard). Am back home on Sunday so will email you the details of my company if you want. Might just save you $100.

3k limited mileage. Can't believe you guys limit yourselves this way. Don't you WANT to drive your Cerbs?

Gary,

I insured through Sunninghill as advertised in Sprint. Their number is 0870 787 8022. They selected Chaucer Insurance and the deal came out at £581.65. As I said 98 4.5, fully comp, max NCB, garaged, N Yorks (may well make a big difference), me (37)& missus (40), tracker, unlimited mileage, uninsured loss recovery, legal expenses, 3rd car.

I don't know if this is the company you were stung by and I would rather not know if it is but there you have it. Good luck

Edited to say - Oh and track days

I'm with MSM.
29 yo, 6yrs NCB (protected), Leeds postcode, 5k miles (but I'm sure I'll be extending that), garaged, SDP only. 700 quid. Cheapest I could find by about 200 quid.

With your advancing years and lower milage I'm sure you could get a couple of quid cheaper.
