Thursday 1st Feb, 0330 hrs. What does the '0' stand for? Oh my god
its early etc......

Temperature? Bit below freezing....

Salt/gritters everywhere....

Cerbera? Been sorn'd for 4 months to the day and other than in
and out the garage to fit the whirlwind kit where it moved oh
maybe 25 feet it's now expected to take me 350 miles down
to Joolz........laugh

Seven hours later as the(A1 was closed for over an hour)
we arrive!! Thing didn't miss a beat although the ice warning
stayed on the whole trip and varied between green (careful
its chilly!), Orange (easy does it!) to Red!! (are you completely
DAFT!!). Made Washington services from Dundee on way less
than half a tank due to taking it very easy. Forgot to take a piccy
of the state the poor thing arrived in...rolleyes

Now with Joolz for mucho fettling...driving

TBC in a couple of weeks

Cheers
Sticky.

Did a similar journey five years or so ago when Carl Baker fitted a new alarm to it - exhilarating and unnerving at the same time, worrying about the salt getting at the chassis, freezing my cods off at anything over 50, wishing I'd bought me big coat!

It's in good hands with Joolz.

Cheers for the positive messages chaps. We have decided that since its down there, an ACT
exhaust is being ordered and will be fitted, then the mapping done as the original seems to be
holding it back a little.

Shameless plug if allowed....ahem, an exhaust of unknown origin in mild steel (we think)
with shiny sports tails and in reasonable nick if not the best quality might be available
in the next few weeks or so at a very cheap cost......pm for details purlease...

Part Deux to follow.

Spend the extra money and get the manifolds as well. With Joolz fettling, it made a big difference 380.6bhp on my early 4.2

Were they the standard or performance manifolds you got from ACT? I'm told even the standard ones offer an improvement as the stock TVR items port matching is horrible.

I've been wondering whether to get the ACT manifolds.

Do people think a remap is required (Joolz?)

My standard ones cracked (as they all do).
Looks like mine are the performance ones, it was all they did at the time. Tuned length stainless

Would love to be able to stretch to them, but the budget is getting a bit of a kicking already so
these will have to wait for another day unfortunately. I am however going down the decat
route as recommended by many on here and fingers crossed for a nice wee increase.

On another note for Byker, I hope the rebuild all goes well, been following the thread
and it was super to see all the support/ideas coming through.

Just want mine back now, garage is looking awfully empty....

Cheers

Just seen this, from the other Dundonian Cerb - will keep an eye on this thread.

I felt guilty taking mine over the other side of town (about 6 miles) for MOT last Tuesday!!!
