Clutch relined

Long shot I know, but anybody know of a company that re-lines cerby clutches (the early clutch)? I have tried to get mine re-lined by AP but they have refused to do it. They would only do it through the TVR factory, which aint gonna happen in a million years.

Once the search facilty comes back, there are a couple of people that have done this, so you can have a look then. I think 'jellie' (Jes Firth?) has had this done.

I did look through the old posts and Jes got his re-lined by AP. Not quite sure how! as they they don't want to play ball with me. Perhaps its just me!

Not a long shot at all. !!!! AP are not at all helpful, I have made an oath to myself never to purchase anything of theirs again.

I understand that AP will re-line most clutches, but not for the Cerbera, might be something to do with an agreement with TVR ?, or because of the way Cerbera's "eat their clutches whole" so AP might be nervous about warantees .

I have an early clutch on my 4.5 and went to a local motorfactor who sent them away to be relined but got back two new pattern center plates, so they are available!!

Still have a very early clutch (No. 24)with 2 mm. lining at 37,000 miles and no fingers broken. Got them relined by a Sachs dealer for € 500,- net (330 GBP), which seems to be a good quote.

Thanks for your replys. I have boxed my clutch up and its going to be sent off today, Hopefully it can be mended!

be careful that you get it to an AP reliner though .. the cerbera AP lining is a funny thickness and you can get drag issues if you dont use AP linings .. I have an outfit that can get it done for you for way less than 330 pounds .. more like 250 i think. before you send it off make sure they can do it to the same lining spec and thickness
