expansion tank query

Every time I top my expansion tank when cold I get water veniting out which leaves just an inch or two of water in the expansion tank after running.Engine doesn't seem to overheat and fans both cut in on queue.I bled the rad but couldn't get anything out of the bleed nipples on the engine.Is there a sequence to do this in or am I barking up the wrong tree.

sounds like your overfilling steve-o. take off the top engine cover thing and youll see the fill level is quite low mate

Yep, agree with the over-filling, as long as the level stays consistant, leave it alone

Should fill it up to just under the "lip" in the tank, IME.
