Morning all, I have developed a water leak, it is the small hose from the back of the cooling manifold to the 'T' piece against the bulkhead on the passenger side.

Question is what size, 8mm or 10mm internal diameter or something else completely.

I've just replaced every hose as a part of my rebuild.

That one is 3/8" or 9.5 mm. Got it from Auto Silicone Hoses.

Worth buying a brass T piece whilst you're there as the plastic one might snap or fracture when you undo the old pipe. Ebay is your friend - 10mm brass T piece - couple of quid.

I used one of these which is a better geometry for my pipe layout

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Y-PIECE-3-8-STAINLESS-S...

this listing is for a pack of five but I found a single one somewhere.

Looking back under the header tank the two pipes from the Y-piece go out parallel to each other across the back of the engine to the back of the heads and the single pipe (to the right in photo) goes up to the back of the header tank.

Just like to say thanks again for the info, 9.5mm silicon pipe sourced yesterday and fitted last night, system topped up and bled through using the simple method advised on here recently, worked a treat.

All back and up and running leak free:-)
