MIL...management warning light!...not to be ignored if it comes on!...I will quote from the handbook..

" The light will illuminate for two seconds everytime the the ignition is switched on or the immobiliser is switched off. It will illuminate in the case of an accident. If it requires resetting consult your dealer. It will also illuminate if there is a problem with your injection or emission system. Consult your dealer. Considerable damage could result if the car is driven with the light on."

Hope this helps

agreed. to be ignored at your peril.

unless, like my MIL light, it comes on when its raining, gusty, frosty, drizzly, mildly damp, warm, hot, tepid, someones just cut their grass or its bored, in which case a visit to the dealer everytime is probably not necessary.

you'll get used to its peculiar ways, try not to worry about it and get a hold of the software so if and when it does happen you can at least see how meaningful it is (or isn't)(most likely isn't)(in my case anyway, other circumstances may exist)(but they probably dont).

actually, hark at me talking like the expert, three months ago i was sitting where you were. well, i don't mean in your house, just panicking about the F*cking MIL light. So ill pass on the advice i was given: divvant worry pet, buying and owning a cerb is a process: we all go through the same 'ooo whats that noise anxieties to begin with' (my first 20 threads all started with the line 'NOW whats gone wrong?').

now, go. enjoy it. best of luck mate

Mine comes on when I start it up if it has been raining, but goes out after 30-40 seconds, it doesnt come on when the weather is dry. So I think it is a sensor getting wet.
