Dear All,

I have broken every flat-tipped screwdriver I have and torn 2.7Kg of skin off my knuckles trying to remove this.

They seal the short pipes from the fuel rails to a four-way junction pipe.

Can anyone explain:-
1) Why these are used instead of screwable Hoseclips
2) How the blummin' 'eck you get them open and off
3) What are they called if, I lose my mind and, I decide to order replacements
4) What do the pipes do ?

TVM !

Hi I believe they are called ‘ear’ clamps. I use a stout pair of side cutters / wire cutters (knipex) cut at 90 degrees. If you replace them guess what? .... you need a ear clamp tool!

Worm drive ‘jubilee’ or ‘mikalor’ clips are a good reusable alternative, also available in stainless mmm.

Sudocrem for knuckles....

they are cheaper, quicker to fit and actually seal very well whereas "wormdrive" (Jubilee) clips below about 5/8" are pretty rubbish, imho.

These are what you need, end jaws crimp (install) and side jaws cut (removal).......................

Thanks Lads thumbup really appreciate that info wink

I realise that I may have been a bit obtuse with question No 4

What I meant was.... They don't actually carry the fuel do they ?
So does that mean they are air pressure relief or summat ?
