Hi, my headlamp reflectors are extremely rusty looking and are limiting the performance of the lights which would probably be an issue come MOT time.. So how easy are those to replace?. Is it a case of removing the seal around the lenses and removing the lens . Replace the reflectors and seal the lenses back up?. Probably not but any advice would be grateful.

Replacing them is relatively straightforward but fiddly as access to the reflector bowls is via removable panels in the wheel arches. There are three (I think) wing nuts that need to be undone (these are part of the adjustment mechanism too) before you can remove the bowls. It’s a while since I did mine so I can’t recall all that I did but I think you might also need to remove the fairings too and these were held on with four studs and wing nuts.

OK thanks, I will remove the inner wing panel in the wheel arch and have a look inside, It would be great If i could get the reflector changed from going in this way rather than taking the healamp glass of and having to silicone it all back in again.
