Well, the noise it's making is!!

Just got the Cerb home this evening and the noise, well... At least the neighbours know I've got the car!!! Huge thanks again to Paul at Austec for recovering the week from the disaster last weekend.

Thanks to you all on your support in getting the car - it's been a very bad week, but at least I've only got another £1k or so to spend on it this year if the £3k per annum price is reliable

For those of you that are interested, it's a 99 4.5 in dark blue, sports exhausts (possibly - have to check as I've been told yes and no) de-catted, 18 inch spiders, full blended-in front lights and modified rears.

As for the popping and banking, I'm sure I'm going to be arrested! Even the wife said it rattled the letterbox when I arrived home

Now I've just got to get out there and drive it so that it doesn't feel quite as crazily fast as it does now.

Time to get the camera out tomorrow I think.

Thanks again one and all.

We have a 1997 4.2 Cerbera and our last service bill was under £700 and so far, touch wood, thats all we have had to pay out on the car so far since the last service which was last summer.

Now most will say the car is not used but atlas it is. Last year we did two weeks in France with the Cambridge region and put over 2000 miles on the clock. Even down to getting up at a very tiring 3am start to make a 3 and a bit journey to Nuerbergring to watch the GP and then the wonderful trip back again later in the day. I can tell you the car sounds awesome especially at 90 and you bring it down a gear it just sings beautifully and of course popps and bangs like nobodys business.

All in all we did five trips to france and it was used every day in the summer. So to me (and hubby) £700 is very good in my books.

You will certainly enjoy it. Just watch it when it starts sleating or snowing. I remember when we picked up ours and it was sleating I can still remember seeing the trucks wheels facing me as we came of a roundabout sideward.

enjoy we have kept ours for 3 years so far

Keith,

Thanks - I think it is!!

I've hardly done any miles in it yet, but hope to solve that problem this week!

This week is fine but I'm off to Germany tomorrow, back Wednesday night ('plane I'm afraid!).

Just give me a bell.

Cheers

Rob
