Got a little trip to Bruges planned for November. Despite saying to myself I'd never use my Cerb in winter again, I've only gone and booked it onto the ferry.

I'll be doing the Newcastle to Ijmuiden ferry crossing, so do the Netherland & Belgium folk use salt on the roads over there?

Can't speak for NL but Belgium uses salt on the roads. Just looked at the weather predictions for the first half of the month, and there seems to be no danger of freezing temperatures, certainly not in or around Bruges.

Fingers crossed for a mild November then. Checked the price of the hotel carpark, 30euros/night yikes

If you're staying fairly central Interparking t'Zand should be a good deal cheaper.

Don't do what I did about 12 years ago and get lost and drive through the famous market square (pedestrians and horses only) in a bright yellow Cerb.

Smile and wave, smile and wave...….

Cobbled streets are also 'fun' with lowered suspension.
