Has anyone ever got a new key fob for their car? If so how do you go about it and roughly what is the cost?

APM can source them. I am going to get mine done. Basically the system is reporgrammed and they give you two new fobs. Not sure what it costs though. I guess it is about £100 ? Pure guess though!

Talk to Carl Baker at Carl and Bike Installations. He did one for me, about £50 I think.

Cheers for that, about £50 if you have the code number, £129 + vat to overide the alarm with 2 new fobs. The stupid thing is, is that one of my wife's friends has a little girl who loves playing with car keys (and hiding them). After 6 hours of searching we can not find the fob. I'm really loving the kid at the moment!!

Never let kids near your Cerb key fob. I believe if the button gets pressed too many times while it's out of range of the car, then it needs a factory reset. Something to do with random code generation IIRC.

I got a new key fob from HHC recently, just gave them the Key Code (normally found in the front of your log book) or if you give them the VIN number they will call the factory for you and I had a fully coded fob arrive the following day. Think it was about £55-£60 including delivery. They are instructions with it as to how to sync it with your other fob and car, but to be fair I got APM to do that as it was going in for a service anyway.
