Bugger... no car for the weekend

Well I suppose something was destined to go sooner or later. Clutch felt a little spongy/too easy to depress on the Thursday whilst driving, so planned to take it into HHC this weekend to give it the once over. Unfortunately on the Friday morning as I went to get the car out the garage it failed to engage any gear when depressing the clutch, bugger! Hope it's not too serious. Well... will have to get the RAC to cart it to HHC on Monday to get it sorted out soon.

Anyway, good excuse to avoid going to work this weekend, instead I guess I'll put my feet up and relax for a change

P.S. Anyone know what it could be and whether it will be covered under warranty?

If the pedal just got lighter (possibly with stiffer changes) and now basically doesn't disengage to enable you to select a gear, then my guess would be master or slave cylinder seals blown - i.e. no hydraulic pressure to operate the clutch.

Phockit, you could be right. I searched through a few past threads and that did seem to pop up on a regular basis. Hopefully shouldn't take too long for the dealer to sort out.

Joolz, I'm in Middlesbrough which is probably halfway between the two HHCs, I'm using your mate Tony at Hexham, and deal with Richard Bright and Simon Milne regarding servicing etc. Would consider using yourself had I bought the Cerb privately but since I've got the car on finance through them and have had good service from them, I thought it best to stick with them for now. Keeps the trade-in value up
