Hi

I would like to replace the 6 fixings under the bonnet of my v8 Cerb. They’ve a counter dunk bolt and a washer finished in black. Does anyone know where I purchase new ones from?

Thanks

Rob

Hi Rob

I get all my stainless steel stuff from here.

www.accu.co.uk

They have stainless steel countersunk washers in black too.

Regards
Simon

Thank you both, another quick question at the same time I may as well order new jubilee clips for the intake tubes. Would anyone happen to know the size I require.

Thanks

I presume you mean for the front F1 panel?

Some of mine were a bit chewed up so I bought 5 from here for £1.09 (M6 x 20mm):

From China so it'll take several weeks. The large black washers were OK and you could just repaint them?

Pro bolt are good for all things dress up. I matched the blue of my car to some anodised ones. You can also get fibre washers to go on the back to protect the paint.

Stainless bolts and some anodised cup washers look great.

I have the old Steve Heath anodised bolts with large grippy head so you can just use your fingers to undo them.
Obviously these aren't available any more but does anyone else do similar. They are brilliant.

I have the probolt gold anodised washers on mine with stainless countersunk bolts and the fibre backing washer. Without looking though there are more than 6 on mine, maybe different for specific years model changes etc.. mine is early mk2, there are 4 on the rad mount alone and 4 up each side I think.

I have 8 on the sides and 4 on the rad, it’s a late 4.5

my 97, 4.2 has 2 on the rear panel covering the battery/wiper mechanism etc, then 6 on the front F1 panel by the Rad, covering the steering.

Edit:
I have these

They work really well, although I'd say the thread is too long if buying again

What thread length would you go for if you were ordering again?

Thanks

Possibly 20mm of thread? These are 35mm long, but the rubber washer is 5mm, leaving 30mm of thread to screw and you seem to screw for ages putting them in and out.

Might be worth trying first with bolt lengths before buying?
