When I went to start the cerb I noticed the wipers were in the middle of the windscreen as I had obviously turned the car off when they were in mid swipe last night. When the car ignition came on they moved an inch or two, but now the button on the steering wheel does nothing, they are simply happily sat in the middle of my view...and stationary. My first thought was to remove the appropriate fuse from one of the many plastic boxes hiding in the boot. Would this be a good idea and if so which box do I need to poke around in?

Cheers

mine did excatly this a month ago. squirt water on the windscreen to reduce friction, switch off and then on the ignition and give the wipers a little shove after pushing the button. it worked for mine-hope you are as lucky

Could be the wiper park switch, mine did that until I took it to Andy's yesterday and now works fine.

I have the dubious distinction of having replaced every wiper component...

-> if intermittent return doesn't work, but holding the button down does, replace the park switch

-> if nothing works at all except the spray:
1. check fuse (#15 i think) in boot.
2. if not blown check control box in footwell
3. check wiper motor.
