The button for my handbrake appears to be stuck in.

I have taken off the trim and released the catch by hand. It is as if the button now does not have enough travel to release it.

Anyone had this before? Know a solution?

Cheers

mine does this presently.
Apparently the mechanism is bent and so you can fix it by pulling up the handbrake and then pushing/bending it towards passenger door.
This is unlocking mine but not fixing it - so off to APM to get it sorted before Le Mans.

The car when in for a new windscreen and came back like this. I am sure that they forced the button in and bent the control rod.

All sorted now. The button had been pressed right in without lfting the lever. Took it all apart last night and rebuilt it putting a locking nut in the control rod. This should stop it from happening again.
