Not the fluffy one, but the two under the car. Have had the car on ramps and tapped them and they each make a loose rattly type of noise. I take they're knackered and this means loads of cash to sort? And I've already got a sports exhaust and I like my neighbours so decat pipes are out...

Any loss of performance?

If not you could take it to a test station and see if they are still working.

No loss of performance since it came back from Joospeed - quite the opposite in fact, runs really well. Will visit an MoT test station and get it checked out...

Not unusual for Cerberas to destoy cats. but cheap one will last all of about 3 months.

If you havn't lost performance you soon will! Mine started making a rattle then exhaust note got quieter. The 'cats ' are made up of two parts in each exhaust, once they start to rattle one part rattles against the other damageing all the fins, essentialy blocking it. I cut mine open to get the broken section out but the half that was still secure was almost completley blocked. Not surprising I only had 367bhp..

Just decat!!! It's not that much louder than cats. Save cats for MOT day.
What can't hear you. Eh???

Its not actually that bad, the loudest point on my is the application of the loud pedal on startup, leaving and coming back are fine as long as you are gentle coming off the gas to avoid pops and bangs, so you can escape without any whinges.

Unless you have sensitive cars parked close you should be OK.

My garage is behind where the parking area is inside a crescent of houses, so lots of neighbours to potentially upset - but not a peep yet

I had mine decatted about 9 months ago, I love the sound!

What I'm struggling with is the fumes. If I put anything in the boot like clothes or food (shopping) it comes out stinking of 'TVR'. This is sometimes not a problem but others it a major problem (like NOT taking the car if we go away for the weekend because the suitcase will stink!)

Does anyone else suffer from this and are there any fixes ? (other than putting the cats back in!)

Cheers
Jon

Mine does the same,. It must be the boot seal not quite sealing.

regarding fumes in the boot, aren't there vent holes underneath ? you could block up ?
