Child seats - photos requested!
Discussion
I've just purchased a Cerbera and now need to get a child seat to keep the family sweet (Dylan is 13 months and looking forward to his first trip!). I've read all previous postings on child seats which have been really helpful but i'm keen to see some seats in the car before deciding which one to go for. There are already some photos of a fitted Brittax seat in previous threads but i would appreciate if someone with a TVR standard seat, Recaro Start, Recaro Start Pro etc could also post photos here so that there is one place of reference for the different seats which members have used.
Dont understand ? They will be pics of seats in the back of a car?!
I suggest that just read up on what fits and then account for childs current age and then look into the safety reviews for all seats elsewhere on the web.
I chose the recaro start for this very reason.
It is easy - just go to their web site and order one!
At about 2 yrs I found that the TVR booster and / or just a seat belt adjuster was all you need and from about 3 all you need is a seatbelt adjuster.

The seats change year on year I've found (we have two variations of the Britax First Class in our fleet for example), so advise given yesteryear may not always apply now.
Best bet is to find a bit Halfrauds or Mothercare and ask them to try them out, pick a young lad who's likely to say "they fit all cars sir", then when you mention you've got a TVR they tend to be exceptionally helpful and bring out everything until you find the one.
The manager of our local Halfrauds still remembers me after taking in both TVRs over the last few years
FYI I've a Recaro Start in mine, from the factory with the support bar and squab extension, without those I don't think the standard squab is big enough to support that seat.

...TVR booster...
Our youngest will be getting too big for the Recaro later this year, so would be nice to have a booster ready for her.
The extra space might stop my wife moaning about being cramped in too

mine came free with the car !
It is just a leather booster.
It is no good for my 3 yr old (he is too tall when sitting on it).
I f the child cant use the recaro then they are ok in norm seat (with belt adjustor).
My three year old much prefers sitting behind me with a seatbelt adjuster, she just loves the fact she can bang her feet on the floor, as she can't do that in our other cars, and more so because it scared the bejesus out of me the first few times when I thought something had broken!

Yep - looking for Photo's of child seats fitted in the car. I live in Aberdeen and have very limited options regarding dealers who stock different varieties of seats - so I can't easily try different brands in the car. I was hoping some other Cerbera owners with offspring could help out with some pictures of how they have solved the family transport problem.
From my web checks it seems Recaro Start is popular - i'm trying one at halfords this weekend, but have nothing to compare it against without photos of other options/brands. Hope someone can help.

Hi there,
unless I've got the wrong end of the stick, I think the main problem is going to be providing a flat, stable platform for the seat base. That is why so many people use/re-use the "polystyrene with a leather cover" version, as that comes with a sound support base. Once you have the base, your only limitations are going to be seat-base length and seat height: the former is inversely proportional to the height of the passanger you can have up front with Dylan in the car. Rather than photos, I suggest you get someone near you to show you the standard installation.
