Anyone know it? Purple/purple speed 6. Sounds ok, good spec new (ish) chassis etc
But it failed its MOT on emissions and hasn't been represented so there may be a reason it's at auction..
Was for sale by Renaissance cars in Jan but I don't know if its them who is selling.

To my mind if you have a cerbera it has to be a mad colour scheme to match the car..
I know a car was purchased recently through Historics - anyone know the buyers premium, its not on the website and they haven't responded yet.

Seems cheap?

Now if you want a really good Speed 6 Cerbera, Englishman has his for sale.

Wiltshire owner, beautiful car, he is a real enthusiast with other TVR's

It does look lovely and just up the road from me but just a tad out of my price range sadly.

It's in 'how to buy'

https://www.historics.co.uk/buying/how-to-buy/

Buyers pay 10%. They don't mention the VAT which they should, so it's really 12% unless you're a VAT registered trader.

There's actually 2 in the same auction, the purple speed 6 and a black 4.2 V8 (which seems cheap with a guide of £13k):

So it is, I read through all of it or so I thought! Thanks
Yes there are 2 but the other is a little tame to my eyes but it may be the better car!
I'm sure the estimates are low to attract peoepl and may not reflect the actual selling price although the one that a forumite bought last time sold for about the estimate was deemed cheap. Maybe they aren't a good car to sell at auction.
The lack of an MOT is concerning.

As some of you know I bought my cerb from same auction house last time around. I believe the car was also entered by Renaissance but can't be sure.

It was a complete gamble as did not see car in person, crazy after the event now knowing what pitfalls may be lurking requiring monies and time to rectify. However I am pleased to say I got very lucky, guess low mileage helped overall condition of car. I have since had it up on ramp with mechanic chum and can report it's in great shape.

Only problem I had was the initial missfire, which was an easy fix. (Two coil packs)

As for values it's difficult to know where true values are as prices vary massively. But guess it's what your prepared to pay for the right car.

As for grin factor it's been worth every penny!

If its been in Belgium as it states then it could be a cat. C or D but you'd never know as it doesn't follow through in Europe.

Happy to be proved wrong but that's what I remember when I was enquiring with Target Cars in Eindhoven about a Tamora.

You really shouldn't ever buy this type of car without seeing it up close and personal. Including ebay.

In my experience of attending a few of Historics sales, they rarely under estimate values.
The number of lots that get close to estimate or reserve but don't sell shows this.

So reasons for failing emission on the MOT that are peculiar to a sp6? Are there any.
Usual stuff, lambda sensors, ecu etc.
Even more importantly why wasn't it fixed and resubmitted? The listing doesn't mention no MOT....

The listings in these catalogues are written weeks ahead. It's usually obvious by it being omitted. No MoT is mentioned.

I've seen many cars at classic auctions that were supposed to have a fresh MoT but either couldn't pass or resulting idleness by the vendor results in no MoT. It wold be mentioned at the sale itself if any catalogue entries were wrong.

Did anyone look at this? I notice Fernhurst now have it as a non warrantied car and a "fixed" price of £19k. As far as I can tell nothing has happened since the auction, including MOT (on a Boris one until Dec) and last service appears to be pr auction.
I'm not sure what there is to warrant the £3k uplift.
