How Much Clutch Fluid Required to Bleed Clutch??

Hi all, I've been having a problem with my clutch. About 6 months ago it went down to the last inch. I managed to get it to SFR to get it fixed. Shane had a look but after topping up the fluid couldn't see any leaks. It held for ages, but the same thing happened a couple of weeks ago. Again Shane topped it up used it for a few days and couldn't see a problem. I used it for a week and all was fine till Sunday when the clutch went completely. It is now just swinging away in the wind :-( I'm gonna try to bleed it tonight to see if I can get it going again.
Can I just confirm:
a) If it's a Slave problem I should have fluid under car?
b) If it's a Master problem I should have a damp footwell?
Cause upto now I'm buggered if I can see where it keeps going!

If its your master cylinder you will have fluid all over your shoes, pedal and mat. If it’s the slave then you ‘may’ have some fluid under the car but not always. There is only a small hole in bell housing to allow any fluid to escape, this could be blocked.
In your reservoir do you have any deposits of black rubber? You will find them on the cap.
If it is taking a lot of fluid then there is something wrong. If its your slave seals only use the ones from Joolz.

My slave has just been fixed, Joospeeds seals, APM fitted.
There was a large patch of fluid under my car on the garage floor, roughly inbetween the driver/passenger footwells just behind the wheels if you imagine looking from the side. No fluid inside the car.
If you are having to rebleed, surely its best to get the car in and sorted somewhere. I was "lucky" enough for it to die on my driveway, if I was out and about, wouldnt have been too happy if I was left stranded.

Cheers Joospeed - I'm guessing you've had damp feet a few times.
It would appear this isn't my problem now. I took the cap off last night and it's full to the top. I opened the bleed valve but as there's no resistance on the clutch, pumping it did nothing.
Fraid I'm resorting to the AA now!!
