I thought you already had a spare diff?
I take it you've still got your donking noise from the rear?
Have you read this from the TCR website....

" Although some diffs seem to be set very "tight" in their limited slip action, there are a few points to consider before condemning the diff itself. Most likely is a faulty damper. This is very common and some cars are on their second or third set of dampers.

They leak oil from the top seal and eventually give up their damping action altogether.

Remember that TVR use stiff springs and so need stiffly set dampers to control the extending spring during the rebound phase. Any deterioration in a damper action will cause that wheel to skip as the extending spring action isn't sufficiently under control. "

The donking noise could be the 'wheel skipping' as mentioned above.
I was told by Leven, when my car was in for a service, that my shocks had started to leek a little, but not badly. This, i'm hoping, Could be the couse of my donking.

So is the only fix a new/second hand LSD or can the old one be repaired in some way?
And anyone know if this is just an anoying niggle "they all do that sir" kind of thing, or is it going to get to be a serious problem?

What do you mean by 'skipping'? If it's as in jumping teeth, I suspect that's something that would be followed very shortly be catastrophic failure. (Mine made it about 50 yards after the first 'clunk' before total loss of drive.) I wouldn't expect this to happen unless the diff was severely worn, or had been abused sufficiently to break teeth.

Hi, i have a brand new and unused diff if you are interested ? .I also have lots of sets of used TVR wheels from single items to complete sets with tyres.Tuscan 18 rims 3 only [two front and one rear for £100 etc etc.

The diff is there ! Not sure if it is a 4.2 or 4.5 diff though.

diff is the BTR Australian diff not the hydro-thingy one .It is unused and ready to bolt in .
Glad you were pleased with the wheels .I have a lots of sets but after 40 enquires today and clogging up the computer i will sell sets one by one .First set is Cerbera 4.5 17 rims with really good tyres [235/40 zr 17 front and 255/40 zr 17 rear .All 4 are Bridgestone and have 7mm tread on the fronts and approx 4-5 mm on the rear .Wheels have the usual scuff but for £170 ono they are priced to sell .

Hi Liam,

I am interested in the diff and a set of 16" inch wheels for Cerbera.

Can you check the ratio of the diff ? On my car there is a metal label that states a ratio of 3,45 if I remember correctly
