Hi All,
My 4.5 injectors have no numbers on them. I’m looking at sourcing some here in Aus. but the TVR parts number (E3427) brings up nothing.
Any idea what the actual Lucas part number is? The closest I’ve come is 5202003 (Stan Weiss charts) but even this number then searches to nothing.
Thanks.

Ok, I’ve found some numbers - it seems all of the injectors are: DC1720CE with 7 having a further code of 3502 and a single one with 0302.
Searched & searched. Are their any Bosch alternatives?

Thanks Paul. From the links most of the info is for the 4.2 Bosch injectors.

It seems D1720CE - 3502 would have a flow of 350cc/ min. God knows what the other one is with the numbers D1720CE - 0302! (Maybe I have read it incorrectly).

Whatever, I have phoned numerous parts places and no one recognises “D1720CE” at all.
Surely there must be a newer alternative by now?

Incidentally, Judder’s excellent parts list provides the details: “ Lucas disk type, 185cc/ min @ 2.5 bar high impedance 14.5 ohms” If my reading is correct this is way too low cc?
I’m getting more confused by the minute!

Last set I had cleaned and flow tested all measured around 325 to 330cc/min at 3bar which is good for 470hp in a cerbera at 3.5 bar.

from the flow rate at 3 bar (usual test pressure) you should be able to find a suitable alternative online.

all the best
J

Ok...I’ve searched & googled & ebayed etc without success.
350cc with the same fittings is proving difficult.
Anybody used alternatives on the 4.5?

Do you want to source an alternative, or do you want new / recon original spec injectors?

I have a potential alternative Bosch that I might be able to get hold of reconditioned, I have a set of reconditioned genuine 4.5 injectors in stock, or tvr parts can supply new injectors.

Thanks fellas.
Having double checked everything just bought from TVR Parts. Guaranteed to work etc.
Fingers crossed new lambdas plus injectors (plus MSD leads/ caps, new coils / new spark plugs) sorts out my over fueling plus enables me to get some decent AFR going. Here’s hoping the bl**dy throttle pots are ok. They have been replaced but I’m not convinced of their reliability.
Jeez would be nice to drive the Cerb again!

Reviving an old thread and I’m assuming by no further posts it fixed it for you? I’m having the same issue and about to get new injectors, so I’m curious if you had to do anything further?

I had previously convinced myself that these would be ideal for a 4.5

https://www.fiveomotorsport.com/lucas-d1720ba-30lb...

But now I see that they don’t quite meet the spec posted by Joolz (these are 315cc vs the required 330cc).
