Tyres again...

Any recomendations for rear tyres on a pair of 17" TVR wheels??? Currently have Toyo's all round and the backs are getting a little slick.

I had recomended Falkens to dad, but cant seem to find them for anywhere near the prices that people bought them for over the past month or so???

Not after any trick tyres/ trackdays biased jobbies... its a road car most of the time and a sprinter/hillclimber at weekends.

Bracknell Tyre and Battery always have good tyre prices. £104 a tyre (fully fitted, balanced etc) for Goodyear GSD3 255/40/R17s when I called them.

I had to replace the S02 rears last week, after some kind person inserted a 2" screw in the thread whilst the car was parked in Chalfont St Giles.

Talked to a couple of people who recommended the lastest Michelin Sports, but a quick local ring-around revealed that these cost about £170. I ended up fitting Pirelli Rosso N3s (Porsche carcass) for £148 each. In the dry, I would say they're as good as/superior to S02, in the wet I am going to be very careful

One thing: the Cerb was a celebrity at the local kwick fit, and inordinate time was spent to make sure everything was just so (e.g. rubber pads for jacking off the correct points, etc), but they did struggle getting 255 Pirellis on the rim, you notice they were really designed for 245s.
