screaching gearbox

went out bank holiday in beast and started gettin high pitch screaching noises from gearbox area! it only did it when in gear, with or without clutch down!i put it down to the thrust release bearing, but it only had a clutch fitted 2 week ago! the noise was really high pitch and very embarrasing!
after a few more miles i lost gears and the recovery was required! there was lots and lots and lots of swearing! eventually he arrived late at nite and he broke down on the way home!
i love my car! but when it goes wrong it bl@@dy goes wrong

yep fellas gearbox is nact and need a new one! so is it the same box a the sierra t5 box?

Oh its a Borg Warner T5 in the Cerb is it?

Great - there's a direct replacement automatic box that should just drop in then.

Wonder if anyone has put an auto tranny in a Cerb? Sounds like an interesting idea.
