speed six - de-cat pipes and sports zorst.

Hi Folks, Just about to lash out, once again, on some toys for the motor. Has any of you fellow speed six owners fitted de-cat pipes, and what results did you get. I've been told that they create a hole in the torque curve, and the six is better off with them fitted. Finally the sports zorst. Is it just the Back box thats replaced with two smaller boxes, or is it the whole system?..... What results can be expected from these mods, noise obviously, anything else? cheers in advance. tim.

Ive Just removed the cats and hollowed them out. Still running the car in but engine does feel a little sharper and there is more popping and banging on over run. Certainly cant feel any deficite in power up to 4k revs so far. The cats were shagged before though. Going to get the ECU chip sorted from TVR power as it is running a bit rich now

cant tell you much about the cats, other than i was told not to bother cos of the aforementioned torque hole thingy (sorry if that got a bit technical). trust me, if you get the sports zorst you wont want anything else cos the noise will be perfect-a-mundo (sorry, yet more jargon).

seriously, call Lamont now. give him money until you have them. and make him laugh too cos i think hes having a bit of a tough time, and the boy does like a smile. this time tomorrow they could be on your car. let me know how you go buddy, call me if you wanna chat

Cheers Nervous, seems that i need to get my finger out and get the sports exhausts on the vehicle. I will get intouch with ACT forthwith and order the items in question. Anyone going to either the TVR track day at Castle Coombe, or Goodwood festival of speed?

going on sunday. got calif sage green motor. giz a beep if you see me looking lost!! great fun getting there last year on A272 from Winchester, all sorts of expensive machinery flying about!! Old esprit got its first 911 kill on the route out. see what i can get this time.
