Just wanted to post a positive thread to recommend Horizon Motorsport in the Midlands - done quite a lot of work to my car recently, including some lovely Nitrons and now the car is transformed - the handling & ride are fantastic, but also the car now runs really smoothly & how it always should have done.

The price above is about right - this is shocks & springs & set up. The ride height has been returned to "normal" which means the car now goes over speed bumps etc with no problems, but the main differences are with the ride quality & handling - road bumps etc are now absorbed by the suspension rather than the bone jarring thump I used to get which would rattle every bit of the car - its much much smoother to drive as a result of this. Handling wise the car turns in very sharply now - it took some getting used to at first as I was putting too much lock on into corners & almost steering into the kerb! It is also now much more stable & settled in the corner & easier to get the power on out of the corner sooner. I really can't recommend it highly enough & wonder why the original equipment on the car is so poor in comparison - I also wonder why I waited for two of the existing shocks to leak before having the nitrons - if I'd known how much better it is I would have changed them years ago, after all I've read nothing but positive posts on here about them.

He fitted and set up my Nitrons at the beginning of the year, and likewise I cannot believe the difference. She grips like a clam and goes like an electric eel. Lurvely.
Moreoever the car conked out on me a couple of times earlier this week, and I dropped down to Horizon on the off chance - they downed tools and went to work. Suffice to say an hour later she's running better than she ever has, and I nearly stuffed her into a variety of inanimate objects on the drive home as I was laughing so hard at the performace. Thought it was quick before.... now she's in another league!
One up for Horizon and the monster early 4.2's - bags of bolts mostly, but when they're sweet, they're like nothing else.

Oh, and Joo rates them too, so they must be good!

I've heard good things about Horizon, seem to be highly rated.
On the subject of Nitrons though, just keep an eye on em. They are fantastic dampers...when they work, and I've been really pleased with the way that they perform, particularly on track. But, recently my Cerb has started to behave a little unpredictably inc one scary moment playing with a Boxter S. Insepction of the suspension this weekend has revealed two faulty dampers on the nearside, the rear damper is leaking and front has only 9 clicks of adjustment. After LM they'll be going back for the third re-build (one was my fault cos I broke it) in 2 years, this time after less than 9 months on the car.
