Ok, I fear i'm going to be clearing up the worms myself here, but ....

What's happened to Joolz???!!!

I can't view his profile (usually check it for interesting threads), there's some talk about people leaving PH, and his website seems to say that he's closed down!!

Anyone care to shed some light for me? Or point me in the direction of an appropriate thread :boxedin:

Its true.

He has gone to start a new business venture in setting cars up for the track and racing. (I think)

I believe he is going to continue with TVR upgrades and development.

He's just ending the servicing and repair work AFAIK.

I thought he did that a while back?

odd .. he seemed to be in full swing the last time I saw him at Surrey RR - lots of tuning options coming up, just made over 400BHP, etc. etc. It all seems to have stopped.

And it looks like he's been kicked out of PH too?

Not true. Joolz asked me to remove his profile.

I get the impression that he has taken the opportunity whilst "between businesses" to take a short break, and that we will soon see him back, complete with new website and new PH handle...

I hope so anyway.

I was at his place today and he's a busy bunny. Has a couple of conversions on the go and is heavily involved in finishing a track car ready for a dyno run tomorrow if all goes to plan. He will be working until midnight at least!

Oddly enough, I was just browsing through my favorites links, and clicked on Joospeed, just to see what new bits he had for the Cerberas now. I was quite downhearted to see that they had closed up shop. Figured PH would be the source of info for me, lo and behold, here it is.

Glad to hear that he is continuing on, and hope it all works out for the best!

Kinda odd how PH gives us all some common ground. I've never met the chap, likely never will, but I was genuinely curious when I saw the news, first thought was 'hope everything is ok'... weird ol' world some days.

Joolz has not closed down. If the phone wasn't answered, it was because Vix wasn't there (for whatever reason). If she's not in the office and Joolz is elbow deep in engine, it takes him too long to clean up and pick up the receiver before it goes to answerphone.

He's asked Ted to delete the Joospeed profile because it's the same name as his current business. The new business has a completely different direction and ethos, and he wants there to be a gap to minimise any confusion.

Don't panic chaps. He's been completely open about his plans to reduce servicing. Anyone who's genuinely interested in developing their car can still deal with him if they choose to.

i orderd some parts late fri last and received mon morning.top cass service as normal second to none.
tried to call mon but no vickie by the third tone,
how unusual, assumed buissy so left it.
jules wrote on a thread that he was concentrating more on real work rather than the stuff like electrical fault finding, and NOT DESERTING US,
if like bud seys hees got a dead line to meat then hees got to do what hees got to do.GOOD LOOK WITH IT
some times we all need to close the door and do our own thing for our own reasons,
we just need to sit back and give them space to do there thing .WHAT EVER IT MAY BE.
the team will re appear in there own time ,with as we all rely on,and take for granted till its not there ,A TOP CLASS SERVICE.

Ok, it's all my fault, telephone not answered cos Joo's been working with me on the Cosworth 24V twin turbo install on my Tasmin race car. Worked through the night to get it ready for a RR session at 9:00 this morning only for an electrical problem to sabotage our plans.

Don't think Cerbie owners will need to worry if you're into engine / suspension / track day upgrades etc. Not gonna spill the beanz but expect an announcment soon.
