Magnacor HT leads

Just fitted a set of magnacor leads (for a 4.5 from reputable source) - having authorised TVR dealer doing some work on my car at the moment and they say the leads don't fit on the plugs properly and slip off and need to be replaced. Anyone any cures/suggestions or am i getting flannel?

I've got magnecour leads on mine (4.2) and theres no problems. Might be flannel, i dont know.

I've heard this too. You could check with the people you bought the leads from, but I think its due to the fact that its hard to tell when the leads are seated ('click' feeling is very faint). This causes leads to be fitted without being clipped onto the plug properly, hence falling off reputation.

I've had them on my 4.2 for while with no particular problems (apart from fitting as desicribed above).

Simon is correct, they can be tricky to seat, once on there shouldn't be a problem.

theres your problem then! Try somewhere that knows about AJP engines!

Will pass on comments to flannel merchants! Normally do go the indy route but with Joolz shut down and Topcats a good distance away decided to try my nearest dealer.

I will never go near a TVR dealer again.

Good independants are the only people that know about AJP8's.
