After reading a lot of potential buyer threads and realising that a lot of us only post when we have problems, I thought I’d throw a happy 1 yr owned post in!!

Bought the car last June (97 4.2) and its been spot on!
I work at sea, usually 3 months on 2 months off so the cerb is an ideal car for me!
However I have just been on leave for 9 months whilst at college using the cerb every day covering 9000 miles and it has been superb!

Its had its slight niggles but nothing major!

Here’s what I’ve had so far:-

First of all it had new Lambda sensors and wiring harness fited under warrenty due to missfireing when raining.

Serviced in September for free as part of sale including new AC compressor.

New Throttle cable £80
Stainless exhaust mid section £180
Tyres, as to be expected form any car £400 or so
Wing mirror door switch £12.95
Rear diff mount bush £18

Just passed its MOT today :cloud9: (emissions tester was conveniently out of order though;))

I'm off to work on Saturday to Alaska for 4 months, so the car will be serviced whilst i'm away, needs tappets, wheel bearing, new connector block for dip beam and whatever else is found, so that should take me up to around the '£3k rule of thumb' costs.

So basically after a years hard driving I would recommend a cerb to anyone, it sounds/looks/drives awesome, turns heads and has you feeling like a rock star everywhere you go, nails most cars on the road!, and the cars it won't such as mclaren F1's etc you will most likely never meet on the road anyway! and IMO it's good on fuel considering my mates Scooby imprezza uses more!

Well that's nice to hear the positive rather than all those negative "I need help" threads, I've posted one or of these but nothing serious.

My Cerb is running very well since Andy at APM sorted it for me. Now waiting for my sports pipes to arrive, old exhaust is falling to bits inside and rattles like a snake. I need to wait another 2 weeks before it arrives, it should have been here by now but has been delayed!

Can't wait to get it singing again although with de-catted pipe i think its going to be LOUD.

Anyway, apart from that, my cerb is great, fab and sexy and although its a play thing for me and I only do a few thousand miles a year in her, she pleases me everytime....I'm still talking about the car!

I have just passed my first year and although I'm not quite ready to write up a full report all I will say is it has been simply great .

17,500 miles in one year and only a couple of electric niggles and normal servicing/Tyres/brakes/FUEL etc.

These cars are an absolute steal for how much pleasure they give you to own.

I really do feel like this most of the time!

I love my car.

Just looked at your profile, we seem to have almost identical cars, mine is a 96 4.2 same colour, glad to hear its been a fairly trouble free year for you.
