Having a bit of fun with a guage that is doing wierd things!

Seems to stick at 42 when hot and not move up from 2000 revs onwards. So all the way to 7000 rpm stays at 42.

Engine is sweet, cams are quiet, runs at 80 C.

Where does it pick up from and is it a wet system all the way?

I think it's buggered at one end or the other?

Changed the pressure release spring & valve made a little difference at cold but not hot.

Hi,

Had a related problem in that the oil pressure sensor broke causing the MIL light and buzzer to come on.

However, I did learn that the oil gauge is a wet system direct from the engine.

It could be that the pressure is fine, but the guage is siezed.

Cheers

John
