4.5 throttle pots again

These are still out of stock with the big name suppliers so is it time for another group buy? Anyone with plenty of time on their hands want to sort this out ?

I think I have one from the last group buy in the garage, if so I will look for identifying marks that could be googled to see if I can find a way of buying them.

I think it was Adrian who organised the last one.

It was Alex Judd who did it last time, amazingly november 2018!

I think at some point he even provided details of the company he sourced from (china / india ?) but can't find that info at the moment.

I'm not committing to taking it on by doing this, but I would quite like to have some spares so I've messaged the supplier to ask for pricing for 30 Blue and 15 white units

Hi

Alex has copied me in to an email with the supplier so will see what comes back but if you want to do it that's fine. I was going to buy say 50 and sell on to whoever wants one, but as a business I'd be looking to make some profit - not a lot but enough to justify sending throttle pots out when I could be earning mapping money if you see what I mean. If anyone else prefers to take up the retailing then that's great.

So assuming a £20 price from the supplier what would you be looking for before I commit?

They were around 60 pounds each I think the last time I bought one from a tvr parts supplier but that was many years ago now. But half that at 30 pounds would be sensible if they were coming in at 20 from the supplier ..

I have emailed the manufacturer this morning to get an idea of how much it is going to cost to get the pots here.

It will be for the 4.5 pots only - you can buy the 4.2 pots cheap as chips on ebay.

Once i have heard back I will update the pricing. There will be packing/postage to each person of course don't forget. Not sure what the situation is with import duty .. I'm a business so these can't go down as gifts the duty will have to be paid.
