Which cone filter
Discussion
Looking at putting cone filters on once the engine is rebuilt.
I have found the Green Filters and also seen pics of the BMC ones. Does anyone have K&N filters and/or any thoughts about fitting cones without cone covers and replacement piping, i.e. air feeding from within the engine bay instead of from the front air box?
thanks in advance

Take a look at carboncerbie web site. There are plenty of pics of this set-up, pricing of components etc.
Some people just mount the cones directly on the L & R airboxes but it has been noted that this does create high under bonnet pressure as well as allowing the air to heat whilst in the engine bay.
My 2 pence is that the original setup is OK but should have the Air-box mod from joospeed. Ceejay I think has had this done. Drop him a line.

I dont think the cones in the engine bay is that much of an issue, the cerbera air boxes sit directly over the exhausts and so get 600C worth of radiated heat belted straight at them .. whichever method of induction you choose, the air going into the engine will be pretty damn warm .. but the cone filters look cool and sound great

I was thinking the same. I can't think that anywhere under the bonnet is exactly going to be cool. So will probably just mount them straight onto the airboxes.
Therefore any suggestions of makes. Having scoured the K&N site they don't make a cone replacement for the Cerbera so it will just be a case of getting the right diameter end on it. Does anyone have these fitted and can recommend the best one?

I have K&N ones, came from Joolz and were custom made I think. I will measure mine when I get a chance today and let you know the sizes.
