Looking for G474 TVR
Discussion
My husband is trying to track down the owner of the V5 and plate of 1996 metallic red Cerbera G474 TVR.
History shows it was last MOT’d in 2006.
My husband, Cerbera nut that he is, owns the body shell, and would like to rebuild if possible.
I know. Yes, he is quite, quite mad. And has previous for this kind of nonsense.
But there we are, I am tolerant and kind and offered to post for him (he doesn’t *do* forums for reasons that 20 yrs of marriage have not yet made clear).
Any ideas?

If you haven’t already, it may be worth emailing the last known owner, and seeing who he passed it on to. Then carrying on chasing

Out of interest, how’s your husband ended up with the body, but no paperwork ?

Thanks- he’s trying to track down the details.
Our house has many many exciting TVR parts hanging round. I think we have 5 spare steering wheels for example. Basically he is a nut. He sees stuff on eBay thinks “gosh, that’s something I might conceivably need in the next 10 to 15 years” and buys it.
I believe other people don’t have clutches in their greenhouses or spare seats in the bike shed.

DVLA form v888

Request the information from the DVLA, all you need is a good reason and previous owner wanting to buy it back would be one.

Best of luck with the DVLA below is an extract from a recent V888 request regarding previous keepers.....................
"Reasonable cause is not defined in legistation, but the governments policy is that the request should relate to the vehicle or its use following incidents where there may be liability on the part of the driver or keeper, for example.
1.where the details of a previous keeper(s) are needed for court proceedings
2.finding out who was responsible for an accident
3.tracing the registered keeper of an abandoned vehicle
4.tracing the registered keeper of a vehicle parked on private land"
Further guidance on what is reasonable cause is published online at www.gov.uk/request-information-from-dvla
I'm having another go at them but think I'm
