which warranty?

Any feed back would be great. I know all warranty companys will try and worm their way out of anything.
I also appreciate there is an obviously difference between the two options below, but what would people recommend.
I have a 2000 cerbera been inspected and is said to be in very very good working order, has just had a big service so everything is up to sratch:
here are the options:
The AA: Only £58 per year, but only allows 3 claims at only £500 per claim, obvious advantage here is very small initial outlay, then im not too bothered if i have to pay £50-200 ontop of each claim if need be. (all apart from an engine re-build)
Auto Protect: £750 for a year or £1100 for 2 years, but with a potential £2500 claim limit, doesnt seem to be any limit of the claims either? (still wouldnt cover a complete engine re-build if ever required, and i bet auto protect would blame on wear and tear rather than a fault)
What do people think, any feed back would be great. Ive got another week to think about it as the car is having headlight conversion done.

I tried to claim for a diff form a 3rd party warranty provider just after I bought my cerb. The paperwork is unbelievable and the hourly rates were restricted to £27-00 incl VAT. I had to pay over half the bill to make up the rates from £27 to £44 and could not use the car for several weeks until they had inspected it approved the claim etc. It was a complete nightmare.
My opinion. Dont bother with a warranty unless you can get them to agree to full engine cover for any reason-they obviously make money out of it so the law of averages must be on your side. Put the money in the bank and use it for repairs.

hi, i've been looking at warrenties for a cerbera recently and applied to warrentywise (underwritten by Lloyds)here are some of the details:
cerbera 4.5, 1998, 30000 miles
Standard policy @ £1454 for 12 months cover
Limit per repair claim - £5000
Annual claims limit - vehicle value
Annual milage limit - unlimited
AA cover
Recovery expenses - £100
Replacement car hire - 5 days £40 per day - limit £200
euro cover 60 days
main dealer rates @ 80 per hour- this was optional at a cost of £115
Engine
The rocker assembly including hydraulic followers, inlet and exhaust valves(excluding burnt or cracked valves),valve springs and guides, cylinder head(not cracks or decoking), cylinder head gasket (except skimming), pushrods, camshaft and followers,timing gears and timing chains, oil pump, pistons and rings, cylinder bores, con rods, gudgeon pins and bearings, inlet manifold, flywheel and ring gear. Timing belts are covered provided they have been changed in line with the manufacturers schedule.
that's it as far as the engine was concerned however small print like the vehicle need FSH and thay do not cover existing faults which were present with the vehicle prior to taking out the policy.
i also asked for fair wear and tear to be added to the policy at an additional cost, but it was left off the quote.
Anyone know of this company or had dealings with them?
