Hi all , does anyone have any tips on how to separate the bottom ball joint from the steering arm ( without a hydraulic press ) , many thanks Chris .

It's only a standard type taper fitting. If your replacing them loosen the nut, leave the nut on a few turns then hit it with a hammer.

Been doing that , it's a stubborn bugger so must need a bigger hammer .

Thanks for the advice , I was hitting the right part but just wasn't separating until I supported the underside of the steering arm with a couple of pieces of 9x3 floor joists then it popped out ok . Just need to replace the top and bottom joints and wheel bearing and will be ready to race at Donington at the weekend .
