Just out of curiosity (im sure its been done before, im just curious)...
Which do you prefer

and re: the upgrade for those whove had it done, or are planning to, who is in favour of the cheaper non blended in pod VS the blended in pod. Im for the blended in pod as it looks better, but the non blended in pod is substantially cheaper. I dont see many non blended in pods, and am assuming not many people like them?

IMO i don't like a mix of blended lights and RL7's or old lights and spiders etc.
But how could you not love the look of any Cerbera?

This is a good question as I am thinking of getting mine changed to the blended in ones. Probably the 3 light design. I think I actually prefer the new style because they look more modernand the front end soen't look so glued together. But then the other half of me thinks that longer term, the standard cars might be rarer and more sought after, although I suppose you can always keep the orginals and convert back! 
What I would ideally like to do is to replace the standard lights with some new modern design, i.e. still round but using modern day plastics/glass, not something that looks like the spot lights on tanks

You would'nt buy a old E type Jaguar and then rip out the original lights and fit a new design to it would you? I have no probs with original updated factory models, progress is always neccessary and i do think the new-look Cerbs are nice, but to mess with and upgrade an original is sacriledge
. Still, i guess that means there will be less and less of the original Cerberas around so that will only be a good thing for rarity points and market value for us traditionalists 
Believe me in years to come, an original Cerb in the original guise, untinkered, will be more sought after than a tinkered-with facelift model (and there will be less of them as per the above ). Who knows, in years to come, i predict Cerbie owners will be getting retro headlight up(down)grades

Very interesting...Are those bespoke or is there a mould available now?
They would look excellent, especially with some new style projection headlights in. Reckon it would add 5mph to vMax as well
Did you get them made yourself?Produced moulds by myself. Covers were deep-drawed by an external specialist. I´m afraid they won´t fit to another car ´cause mine had an NS front damage discovered during restoration.
But I can tell you how it works if you want to produce moulds by yourself.

As Ive said before, IMHO, the original lights look better on light coloured cars and the new style lights look, in general, better on darker coloured cars.
Rob, if you want the modern lights, respray your car a darker colour (one less yellow cerb about making my car even cooler)
, but be prepared to pilot a slower car

Agreed, which is why an upgrade makes sense to me, given its the sleeker more modern design
But the whole 'origionality' thing, I dont buy into. If some chump finds himself mamby pambying about in 20 years, unable to find a cerb with origional headlights, I'll either help him, talk to him, but I wont find myself in a state of regret or retrospective analysis on sacrilige. Life is always now
Im just not the 'keep the old gearknob cause in 20 years it'll be sought after' type.
