Track Day Insurance?

Hi, I'm trying to get some idea of the cost of track day insurnace for Oulton Park this Saturday.

Do most people take out track day insurance? If so any thoughts on the cheapest company.

Most/a lot of specialised TVR insurance policies cover you for track days automatically...but with a higher excess (£1000). e.g - Sunninghill

I agree with kojak, I insure with Sunninghill & they cover track days ! Worth giving your insurer a ring for confirmation.

I’d be interested in know of any specialist track day insurers too. My insurer (Privilege) says they won’t cover track use. I’ve tried specialist TVR insurers who cover trackdays, but none of them will cover me because of the age of a named driver on my policy or because I don’t have a garage!

Insurance companies are very strange, some are happy to cover me hooning round a racetrack, but only if I keep my car garaged when I live in a quiet backwater of Northamptonshire

I've actually got the car insured with Direct Line but they don't cover track days.

I've got a track day at Oulton Park and I just need a company that insures for the day.

A bit of surfing required me thinks!

I do believe you can take track day insurance out seperately, but not sure where/who with. Someone on here should know if i'm correct.

Hi Sonnylad, I've tried them but they wouldn't cover me at a price that was sensible - can't remember if it was because of no garage or the age of my named driver. Thanks anyway though.
