Hello guys on the Cerbie forum. Ive just bought a 1996 4.2 Cerbera so thought I would drop in and say hello! I also have a 1993 Chimeara which will be up for sale soon if the Cerbie turns out to be a good one. I miss the RV8 sound but love the new pops and bangs from the cerb. Just a quick Q as im changing the oil ASAP and wondered what you reccomend. I use mobil 1 0-40 in the Chim but the Cerb has 60,000 miles and im worried it's a bit thin for a high mile engine and add the reports of 1/2 litre top ups every 1000miles Mobil 1 could be a very expensive option!
I use Silkolene Pro 10w-50 fully synth in my Cerb. There are various opinions as too which is the most suitable oil, but a good 5w-40 or 10w-50 should be fine. I buy mine from Opie Oils who can be found on here (do a search), and they deliver next day!
