Cerb on Harry’s garage
Discussion
I had 4.5 for 12 months and he covered most things I experienced. He doesn't need to cover the long-term maintenance issues of course, but he didn't mention the hydratrak rear diff which some owners didn't like. I didn't have complaints in that regard but I do about the clutch. It took 3 attempts to fix including skimming the flywheel at a cost of £1600 at a specialists. The slave cylinders overheat and end up leaking.
The air con is VERY necessary, they get very hot. He's right about the fit and finish, the foam on the roof over the roll bar fell off twice and didn't seem to want to stay up no matter how strong adhesive I used! The sun visors (not fitted on later cars like this) go slack. Then there's the oil leaks, and having to have the cams re-shimmed every 12k miles. Most of the electric boxes and ECUs are behind a velcro flap in the boot, a good place for access but that's what is required, frequently. My car also ate batteries, no matter how high Ah capacity they were, then there's changing the rear diff bushes, oh dear.... And the chassis....Loved it though.
That car also appears to have non original wheels. My car had 225 on front, 245 on rear not 235 and 255, perhaps a Red Rose thing?

Enjoyed that.
Does anyone recognise the town he drove through?
I think its Burford. Definitely in the Cotswolds somewhere. Must be round the corner from where he lives as he always drives through it.Does anyone recognise the town he drove through?
I thought it was a great vid. I like his stuff but don't normally watch the whole thing. Did this time.
Very pleased that it was Aide's car that he bought and reviewed
Not only is it one of the best looking Cerbs ever, but his only criticism seemed to be the spring rates
I've only seen a few of Harry's reviews before, but he definitely seemed to have more fun driving the Cerb, and with more gusto than any other car, despite never hearing the rev limit buzzer

Also, Porsche 911’s may have better quality cabins, but not in all aspects. The alcantara headlining is way nicer in my Cerb as compared to the 911 (feels cheap by comparison), same with the carpets.
Of course, closing the door on the Cerb sounds like closing the door on a garden-shed. The 911 feels like a bank-vault by comparison.
The windows drop (upon opening the door) in the 911 too, but the Cerbera ones drop further and more slowly, they don’t sound nearly as good either.
The Cerbera pedals feel much better than in the 911 (weighted like a Toyota Corolla), and heel and toe is way easier in the Cerb. I much prefer the looong travel throttle pedal to an electronic traction control system too (at least until I plant it in a hedge one day).
The Cerb brakes feel no less effective than a carbon ceramic setup in a 911 (many would argue, the gold standard in modern performance road cars).
Steering is definitely more numb in the Cerbera, but what it lacks in feel, it makes up for in speed. When the Cerb steps out, you only need to think about opposite lock, so quick is the steering.
But as always, the Cerb feels more special, from the moment you open the door, until you arrive safely back home (only just) with a grin from ear to ear and a lingering headache.

Definitely Burford. He lives 4 miles away, which is why he often drives through Burford on his videos. Does anyone recognise the town he drove through?
I think the connector for the heated rear window needs putting back on. It seemed to be dangling in the video!
Both sides were off. I need to get one of mine soldered back on, and I’m hoping a local windscreen company has better soldering skills than me. Either that or I’ll try and source a new screen for when the interior eventually gets replaced.
The hidden starter button made me smile. I think we’ve all been through those woes
That aside, lovely car and a good video.
Just 19 days until I get to drive mine again for it’s MOT/Service... can’t wait
