Yeah, there's a long thread from a few months ago - sort of compliation of faults & fixes on Cerbs. There's a detailed post on the fix for the ribbons.

I did the job about six weeks ago - three times! The first time took an hour and the third time it took only ten minutes. I re-did the job to make sure I had plenty of slack.
The threads are very helpful but folllowing may help.
1. Remove TVR badge in centre of wheel. Use a sharp knife and damage badge OR undo the screws surrounding it and push badge out with your fingers as you can lift the metal trim towards you. Replace allen screws.
2. Undo nut holding steering wheel in place. Replace nut a few turns and use a rubber hammer to tap the wheel loose. Remove nut and lift off wheel.
3. At this stage you can remove ribbon and replace. A friend to provide extra hands is useful. Gently cut through adhesive holding ribbon at both ends. Use fresh adhesive for new ribbon and also glue several inches of ribbon to adjacent metal. This is to avoid movement at the electrical connections. You want the movement to take place over several feet of ribbon.
4. When you refit the wheel, make sure ribbon is not too tight, too loose or kinked. One end is bent through 90 degrees to attach to fixed contact but you will see this from the old ribbon.
5. Take your time, then replace steering wheel nut and finally replace TVR badge and tighten surrounding screws properly.
Obviously I cannot accept legal liability for what you do but it worked really well for me!!
